Visited Sankalp Indian Restaurant in Newmarket and had a really good experience. The food was fresh, flavourful, and well presented, especially the dosas and starters. Nice atmosphere and good service. Definitely worth a visit

This is an amazing eatery closer to Auckland City. The variety of the dishes available here are absolutely astounding. Most restaurant in New Zealand have very limited variety with only a few dishes you can say taste nice. However in this restaurant everything I have eaten so far has been great. The corn cheese dosa, chettinad express dosa, hydrabadi chicken biryani and the paneer tikka are amazing! The chicken and Bombay veg frankies are absolutely delicious and remind me of the frankies available in Mumbai. They are a bit oily but very tasty! The paneer dosa served here is the best I have even had in my life! The filter Kapi was nice too! We ordered the Paneer balti which was highly recommended but we found it to be average. And also the cocktails are not that great. But other than that every other dish we have ordered eaten has been excellent! Also the onwer and Host Pratik Patel is always lively and his customer service is great! I am his regular customer now and tell him to keep up the great work!

Nice atmosphere and very clean. The food was well-presented with great taste, quality, and generous portions. The flavours will remind you of authentic Indian cuisine—especially the South Indian dishes, which are 100% genuine. The unlimited sambar refills are a bonus! Highly recommend everyone to visit and try their food—you won’t be disappointed.

Good food. Good ambience. Big menu including a veriety of dosas. One of the best Indian restaurants in Auckland. They are part of a global chain of restaurants. A bit expensive compare to other Indian restaurants but quality of the food is outstanding. Try lamb pepper fry as starters.

We tried onion dosa, mysore masala dosa, mango lassi, maharaja mango lassi and vegetarian sizzler. The taste is really good and service is quick. The staff is smiling and friendly. Overall we had a great experience. Note - They had buy one get one free offer on dosas. The Hara bahara kebabs are a bit spicy, perfect for Indian taste

One of the best Indian restaurants in Auckland! We tried the medu vada, samosa chaat, mango lassi, Hakka noodles, and lamb rogan josh—everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the dining area was spacious, and the washrooms were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this place for authentic Indian food.
